A 2016 case site with live chat and $1 free on sign-up, but it hasn't kept pace

In short

Farmskins has been around since 2016 and still runs the same basic formula: cases, case battles, an upgrader and a fortune wheel. It has live support, an active community and quick crypto payments, and the $1 sign-up credit costs you nothing to try. What it lacks is everything the market added since. Four modes, a small welcome offer, mixed player feedback and average support put it at 2.8. It's a functional veteran, not a site we'd steer most players toward.

The short version

Farmskins works. You can sign in, open cases, play a few battles and get your money out in crypto. It's been doing that since 2016, which is longer than most of the sites in our rankings.

But a site can be old without being good, and Farmskins has spent much of the last few years standing still. The game list is short, the welcome offer is small, player feedback is mixed and support is ordinary. We rate it 2.8. If you already have an account and you're happy, there's no urgent reason to leave. If you're choosing a site from scratch, there are better places to start.

Ten years in, and still mostly a case site

Farmskins came out of the CS:GO case-opening boom, and it still feels like it. Cases are the center of everything, and the other three modes feel like places to put your drops once you've opened them.

That isn't a criticism on its own. Plenty of players only want to open cases, and a site focused on doing that is fine. The issue is that newer case sites like Hunt.gg have shown how much better the same formula can be done, with bigger rewards and stronger loyalty systems. Farmskins hasn't really answered that.

The longevity counts for something, though. A site that has kept paying people through the shift from CS:GO to CS2, Valve's various trade rule changes and several skin market crashes has a track record you can look at. That's most of why trust scored 5.5 and not lower.

What $1 free actually buys

The welcome offer is $1 on your balance, no deposit required, plus a daily bonus you can come back for. To claim it, open Farmskins through our link, sign in with Steam, and enter CSGOCORN in the promo code field if the link hasn't applied it.

Be clear about what a dollar gets you. It's enough for one of the cheapest cases on the site, or a handful of tiny bets on the wheel. Most of the time, a $1 case returns a skin worth less than a dollar. Occasionally it returns something nicer. Either way, think of it as a free look around the site, not as a bonus with real value. The daily bonus works in the same spirit: small, regular, and mostly a reason to log in.

Compare that with Key-Drop's 20% deposit bonus or Hellcase's three cases plus 10%, and you can see why bonus value scored 5.0.

Free balance on skin sites is rarely withdrawable as-is. Look for a wagering requirement or a minimum deposit before withdrawals. Our guide to wagering requirements explains what those terms mean in practice.

The four modes, rated

ModeHow it worksOur take
Case openingBuy a site-made case, open it, keep or sell the dropWide price range and the site's core. Fine, but the same math as everywhere.
Case battlesPlayers open identical cases; highest total wins the lotWorks, but expect quieter lobbies than on battle-focused sites.
UpgraderStake an item for a chance at a pricier oneOdds are shown up front. Useful for turning junk drops into one item.
WheelBet on a segment; each pays a fixed multiplierSimple and quick. The edge is built into the segment counts.

A few notes behind those verdicts.

The cases are Farmskins' own, not Valve's, so Valve's published odds (79.92% Mil-Spec, 15.98% Restricted, 3.20% Classified, 0.64% Covert, 0.26% knives and gloves) don't apply. Farmskins chooses the items and sets the chances. Read the contents list of any case before you buy it, and remember that the expected value of a site-made case sits below its price. That's the business. Our case opening guide covers how to estimate it.

The wheel deserves a quick bit of math because it looks friendlier than it is. Suppose a wheel has 50 segments and a 2x segment appears 24 times. Your chance of hitting it is 24/50, or 48%, and your expected return is 0.48 × 2 = 0.96, a 4% edge. The same logic applies to every segment on every wheel, so count them before you bet.

The upgrader is the mode we found most useful, mainly as a way to consolidate a pile of cheap drops into one skin you might actually use. Just know that a $10 item with a 50% fair chance of becoming $20 will show slightly less than 50% here. Our explainer on upgrader odds goes into detail.

What's missing is the bigger problem. No crash, no roulette, no plinko, no mines, no coinflip. Game variety scored 5.5, and the game list in our quick facts makes the gap obvious.

Paying in and cashing out

Deposits accept ten cryptocurrencies, cards, gift cards and CS2 skins, with a $5 minimum. There's no PayPal or bank transfer. Crypto is the easy option and usually credits once the network confirms. Players in the US and UK are locked out entirely, since both countries are restricted.

Skin deposits are slower in 2026 for everyone. Valve's Trade Protection, introduced in mid-2025, lets the original owner reverse a trade for seven days, so skin sites have to wait out that window or credit deposits with conditions. Expect some delay if you pay in with items.

Withdrawals come in the same ten coins or as skins. Crypto is the faster route. Skin withdrawals need a Steam trade, and anything you receive sits under CS2's 7-day trade cooldown before you can trade it on. Payout speed scored 5.5: cashouts go through, but bigger requests can take longer than we'd like.

One more thing on value, because it catches people out. The price a site puts on your drop isn't what it's worth in cash. Withdraw a $10 skin and sell it on the Steam Community Market, and the 15% fee (5% Steam plus 10% for CS2) leaves you about $8.50. That money then sits in your Steam Wallet, which can't be cashed out and caps at $2,000. If you want real money from a win, crypto is the honest route.

Live chat and the community side

This is the part of Farmskins that's better than its score suggests. There's live support chat, and the site has an active community around it. For a beginner, being able to ask a person a question while something is going wrong is worth a lot.

So why did support score 5.0? Because answering and resolving aren't the same thing. Simple account questions get handled. The real test is a withdrawal stuck for days or a disputed deposit, and that's where we'd want to see more from a site this old. Combined with mixed player feedback, it's the main reason we tell people to withdraw early and often here.

A useful test before you deposit: open the live chat and ask something specific, such as how long a crypto withdrawal usually takes or whether the free balance can be withdrawn. How quickly and how clearly you get an answer tells you a lot about what happens if something goes wrong later.

Who still uses Farmskins, and why

Our guess: mostly people who've had an account for years. If you've built up history on the site, know the case list and like the live chat, the friction of moving elsewhere is real, and Farmskins doesn't do anything bad enough to force the issue.

It also suits very low-budget players. The $1 credit, the daily bonus and a $5 minimum deposit make it cheap to dip into, and cheap cases are where most of the action is. Just don't confuse cheap with good value. A $1 case has the same built-in edge as a $100 one.

Older sites get cloned. Only sign in to Farmskins from a link you trust, and check that the Steam login opens on steamcommunity.com. If a withdrawal trade offer ever looks unfamiliar, check your Steam account for an API key you didn't create before you accept anything.

Why 2.8 and not higher

None of Farmskins' scores is terrible. None is above 5.5. It's the pattern of a site that does the basics and nothing more: trust 5.5, games 5.5, payouts 5.5, user experience 5.5, bonus 5.0, support 5.0. The provably fair system is in place (hashed server seed shown before play, a client seed you control, a nonce per bet, and verification after you rotate seeds), and our provably fair guide shows how to check it. That's a requirement in this market, not a bonus.

Sites we'd try first

Key-Drop is the closest match: case opening, battles and an upgrader, plus jackpot, with a bigger deposit bonus. Hellcase is the pick if you want PayPal or bank deposits. And CSGOFast, which goes back to 2015, gives you far more modes, from crash to jackpot, if Farmskins' four feel limiting.

Farmskins is for adults 18+ only. Cheap cases are easy to open in long streaks, and $1 at a time adds up faster than it feels. Set a limit before you start, and if you need it, our responsible gambling page has tools and helplines.

2.8Mixed

Our verdict

Farmskins is worth a look if you want a long-running site for cheap case openings, like having live chat available, and plan to take the $1 credit and daily bonus for what they are. Skip it if you want crash, roulette or plinko, a meaningful deposit bonus, or a site with consistently strong player feedback. Key-Drop and CSGOFast both cover similar ground with more on offer.

Farmskins FAQ

Is Farmskins legit?

Farmskins has operated since 2016 and its games are provably fair. It's a real site with a long history, but player feedback is mixed, so we'd start with small deposits.

What is the Farmskins promo code?

Use CSGOCORN, or sign up through our link. You get $1 free on your balance and access to a daily bonus afterward.

Can I withdraw the free $1 straight away?

Usually not as-is. Free balance on skin sites is meant to be played, so check the bonus terms for any wagering or deposit requirement before expecting to withdraw it.

What payment methods does Farmskins accept?

Deposits work with ten cryptocurrencies, cards, gift cards and CS2 skins. Withdrawals are available in the same ten coins or as CS2 skins.

Is Farmskins available in the US or UK?

No. Farmskins restricts both countries. Using a VPN to get around that breaks the terms and puts your balance at risk.

How does the Farmskins wheel work?

You bet on a segment of the wheel, each tied to a multiplier. Bigger multipliers have fewer segments, so they hit less often, and the payouts are set slightly below fair.
