In short
Key-Drop has been opening cases since 2018 and is built around exactly that: a huge case catalog, a free daily case, golden cases opened with a separate gold currency, plus battles, jackpot and an upgrader. Deposits are easy, with ten coins, cards, gift cards and skins. Withdrawals are the catch. Everything comes out as CS2 skins, so turning a win into cash means selling it somewhere else. The $0.50 plus 20% welcome offer is fair. A fun case site, but not one for players who want crypto out.

Full review
Here's the single most important fact about Key-Drop, and it isn't on the banner: you can't withdraw money. Not in Bitcoin, not in USDT, not in anything. Every win leaves the site as a CS2 skin sent to your Steam inventory.
For some players that's a dealbreaker, and fair enough. For others, especially people who open cases because they want the skins, it barely matters. Key-Drop has been running since 2018 and has built one of the biggest case catalogs around, with a free daily case and golden cases on top. It sits tenth in our rankings with a 3.5, and the skins-only rule is a large part of why it isn't higher.
Skins out, never cash
Key-Drop pays out in CS2 skins only. Anything you win lands in your on-site inventory. From there you either sell it back to Key-Drop for balance or withdraw it to Steam.
Withdrawing a skin is simple enough. Selling it for real money is where the friction starts, and we cover that further down. The short version: plan for fees, a week of waiting, and a bit of admin every time you want to cash out.
Selling back to the site is the other exit, and it's the one most people end up using, because it's instant. It also keeps the value on Key-Drop, where the easiest thing to do with it is open another case. Be honest with yourself about which of those two exits you're actually taking.
If you only ever want to play with what you deposit and keep the skins you like, none of this is a problem. If you see gambling sites as a place to turn $20 into $200 and withdraw it to a wallet, Key-Drop is the wrong tool.
The $0.50 and the 20%, step by step
The welcome offer is small but honest: $0.50 on your balance and a 20% bonus on your deposit.
- Open Key-Drop from our link, which carries the code.
- Log in with Steam. Make sure the login page is the real steamcommunity.com before entering anything.
- Enter CSGOCORN in the promo code field if it isn't applied already. The $0.50 shows up on your balance.
- When you make your first deposit (minimum $5), the 20% is added on top. Check the deposit window for a cap or any conditions first.
Fifty cents won't open much, and it isn't meant to. Use it to try the site's cheaper cases and see whether you like the feel of it before putting real money in. The 20% is the part with actual value. Our guide to bonus codes and wagering requirements explains how to check whether any strings are attached.
How the free daily case actually works
This is Key-Drop's best feature and the reason many players keep an account. Once every 24 hours, you can open a free daily case. The better versions are tied to your account level, which rises as you deposit and play, so a brand-new account opens a very modest case while a long-standing one can open something meaningfully better.
Two caveats. First, "free" here is partly a loyalty reward. The case gets better the more you've spent, which is a nice perk for existing players and a hook for new ones. Second, some tiers carry conditions, and they're shown on the case. Read them rather than assuming every free case is available to every account every day.
Even so, a daily free case costs you nothing if you were going to log in anyway. Just don't let it become the reason you log in.
Golden cases and the gold currency
Golden cases sit outside the normal shop. You open them with gold, a separate currency, rather than with your cash balance. Gold mostly comes from the site's events and rewards, and the exact ways to earn it change as Key-Drop rotates its promotions, so check the current rules on the site rather than trusting an old guide (including this one, in six months).
We like the idea. It gives regular players a second track to work toward that doesn't involve depositing more. It also keeps people on the site longer, which is exactly what it's designed to do. Treat it as a bonus on top of play you'd already do.
Reading a case before you pay for it
Key-Drop shows the drop chances on each case, and they're worth reading. These are Key-Drop's own cases, so Valve's official odds (79.92% Mil-Spec down to 0.26% for a knife or gloves) don't apply. The percentages on the case do.
Working out what a case is really worth takes one line of math per item. The numbers below are made up for illustration, not taken from a real Key-Drop case:
| Item | Value | Chance | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knife | $400 | 1% | $4.00 |
| Rifle skin | $40 | 4% | $1.60 |
| Pistol skin | $6 | 25% | $1.50 |
| Filler skin | $2 | 70% | $1.40 |
| Expected value | Case costs $10 | 100% | $8.50 |
On average, this case returns $8.50 for every $10, so the house keeps 15%. And the average hides the experience: seven times out of ten, you pay $10 and get $2 back. That's what case opening is on every site, Key-Drop included. Our case odds explainer goes further into how to compare cases.
Battles, jackpot and the upgrader
Beyond plain case opening, Key-Drop has three modes, all built around cases and skins.
Case battles pit you against other players opening the same cases, with the best total taking everything. Key-Drop's huge catalog makes for varied battles, and the lobby tends to be livelier than on smaller case sites.
Jackpot pools skins from several players, and your chance of winning matches your share of the pot. The site takes a cut. With a full pot it's exciting. With two or three players, you're mostly passing skins back and forth while the site's cut adds up.
The upgrader lets you put up an item for a chance at a more expensive one. The chance shown is roughly the ratio of the two values, minus the house edge. Small upgrades (say, a 50% shot at doubling) feel safer, but every attempt pays the same edge. Our breakdown of skin upgrader odds shows the math.
That's the whole menu: four modes. Game variety scored 7.0 for exactly that reason. If you want crash, roulette or mines, you'll need another site.
Getting money in
Deposits are the easy part. Key-Drop takes ten coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and Solana, as well as cards, gift cards and CS2 skins. Card deposits go through a payment processor, which may run its own checks. KYC isn't required for normal play on Key-Drop itself, though the site can ask for verification before some features.
Skin deposits work under Valve's Trade Protection rules, in place since 2025. A traded item can be reversed by its sender for seven days, so sites either delay full credit or attach conditions. The deposit screen shows you which.
From Key-Drop skin to spendable money
Say you win a $150 skin and want cash. Here's the route.
First you withdraw it to Steam. Items received by trade carry a seven-day trade cooldown in CS2, so you can't pass it on to a buyer straight away.
Then you have two choices. The Steam Community Market is easy, but it takes 15% (5% for Steam, 10% for the CS2 game fee), and the money lands in your Steam Wallet. You can't withdraw that to a bank, and the wallet caps at $2,000. Fine for buying games. Useless if you want cash.
The other option is a third-party marketplace that pays out in crypto or to a bank. Fees are usually lower, but you're now trusting a second site with your item. Our guide to CS2 skin prices explains why the same skin can be worth different amounts in different places.
Trust, fairness and support
Trust scored 7.0. Key-Drop has been around since 2018, results are provably fair (a hashed server seed shown in advance, your own client seed, a nonce per roll), and the drop odds are on display. That's the right setup.
Being a big, loudly marketed site brings plenty of happy players and plenty of angry ones. Most complaints you'll read about case sites are about bad luck rather than unfairness, but take the time to verify a few results yourself if you have doubts.
Support scored 6.5. General questions are fine. Problems tied to a specific account or a withdrawal can take a while to sort out, and that's the area we'd most like to see improve.
Key-Drop, Hellcase or CSGOWin?
If you like Key-Drop's case focus but want crypto withdrawals, CSGOWin is the obvious step up: case-centered, three free cases on sign-up and ten coins to withdraw in. Clash.gg does cases and battles better across the board and pays out in crypto too.
Hellcase is the closest like-for-like rival as a long-running case site, but it scores lower with us, and its withdrawals run only through ShadowPay. Between the two, Key-Drop is the better case site.
You need to be 18 or older to use Key-Drop, and players in the US and UK can't sign up. Set your budget before you open anything. Cases are built to return less than they cost, and no free daily case changes that. If opening "just one more" has become a habit, our responsible gambling page has blockers and free helplines that can help.
Our verdict
Sign up if you mainly open cases, enjoy collecting free daily cases and actually want skins in your Steam inventory. Skip it if you want to cash out in crypto, because Key-Drop only pays out in skins, while Clash.gg and CSGOWin both let you withdraw coins. The US and UK are restricted. Use the $0.50 and the free case to get a feel for the site before depositing, and remember that cases are priced to lose money on average.
